Comparative and superlative adjectives, czyli stopniowanie przymiotników – scenariusz lekcji

Dzisiaj proponuję pomysł na lekcję utrwalającą stopniowanie przymiotników. To zajęcia typowo ćwiczeniowe, wszak Practice makes perfect. Do dyspozycji karta pracy dla ucznia z ćwiczeniami i odpowiedziami do nich, flashcards, obrazki niezbędne do pracy nad ćwiczeniami, a także krótki opis poszczególnych etapów zajęć. Zapraszam.

Objectives:
Students will:
– study and practise comparative and superlative adjectives
– improve their abilities to work in groups
– have fun and feel motivated

Ex. 1 Comparing houses
Comparing_houses
Split up the learners into small groups. Hand the worksheets out to all your students and give picture nr 1 (Houses) to each group. In groups they are supposed to read the information about each house depicted in the picture. Then they should read the example sentences given and, on the basis of the examples, make sentences using the comparative or superlative forms of the adjectives in brackets.

Ex. 2 Comparing cars

Ex.2

Tell the students to stay in the same groups. Give each group picture nr 2 (Cars) and ask them to read the information in the picture and the examples provided on their worksheets. Next, they should complete the second sentence so that it has the same meaning as the first one. They must use the word in capitals and an appropriate adjective in its correct form.

Ex. 3 The – est or the most  – superlative adjectives

Again, the students should stay in the same groups. Ask a representative of each group to choose two flashcards. Demonstrate the example with the cheetah, so that all the students know what they are supposed to do with their flashcards.

Ex.3

In their groups, the students should make up their sentences and write them down on their worksheets. Then, ask them to present the sentences to the other groups so that all the learners could write the rest of the sentences.
