English On The Way Smiley Game, czyli uśmiechająca się gra planszowa

Teaching Notes

This game is designed for Gimnazjum students who are about to take their final school exams; however, it can be used with any learners (level B1 and above).

Included here are an A3 sized board (two parts) and a series of cards showing large versions of the various game fields and: a) sentences which players must complete using the correct form of the word in brackets, b) surprise sentences which do not carry any tasks but allow students to move forward or tell them to go backwards. There is also a set of cards with the answers which should be stuck on the other side of their counterparts, so that students could turn over their cards to check for the correct answers.

How to play

Each group of players need a die and playing counters for every student. They can roll the die to decide who plays first. Each time a player moves, they are supposed to take the appropriate card and follow the instructions on it.
An exact number is needed to finish.

If possible, print the materials in colour and laminate them for durability.

Polecam również podobną w konstrukcji grę planszową English On The Way Bug-Speak Game, która pozwoli na powtórzenie i utrwalenie zwrotów stosowanych w typowych sytuacjach. Innymi słowy jest to gra z ćwiczeniami z obszaru Funkcje językowe.
