Future Perfect Simple podkreśla, że czynność zostanie zakończona do określonego momentu, a Future Perfect Continuous pokazuje, jak długo będzie trwała do tego momentu. Uzupełnij zadania, a potem sprawdź odpowiedzi i krótkie wyjaśnienia.
Future Perfect Simple i Continuous – szybkie przypomnienie
- Future Perfect Simple – will have + III forma czasownika, na przykład will have finished. Używamy go, gdy liczy się zakończenie czynności.
- Future Perfect Continuous – will have been + czasownik z -ing, na przykład will have been working. Używamy go, gdy liczy się czas trwania czynności.
- By i by the time często wskazują termin, do którego coś się zakończy. For określa długość trwania.
- Czasowniki opisujące stany, takie jak know, believe i own, nie występują zwykle w formie ciągłej. Powiemy więc will have known, a nie will have been knowing.

Poprawne zdania z ćwiczenia 3:
- Alice will have been a photographer for six years by August.
- How long will Mike have been waiting for us by six o’clock?
- How many books will George R.R. Martin have written by the end of the year?
- How long will the children have been asking for a dog by next week?
- Jessica will have had her favourite shoes for two years soon.
- Will you have prepared everything by the time the guests arrive?
- Will your husband have cooked dinner before you get home?
- Lisa will have known Peter for a year by next week.
- How many countries will Jack have visited by the end of the year?
- The student will have been practising Future Perfect Continuous for an hour soon.
W zdaniach 3, 5, 7, 8 i 9 poprawa polega na rozróżnieniu rezultatu od trwania. Written i visited opisują liczbę ukończonych czynności, dlatego używamy Future Perfect Simple. Z kolei waiting i asking pokazują czas trwania. Przy czasownikach know i have stosujemy formę prostą, ponieważ są to czasowniki statyczne.
